IVF: An overview and when it might be needed

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is an unpredictable arrangement of the methodology used to help with fertility or forestall genetic issues and help the females with conception.

During IVF, developed eggs are gathered (recovered) from ovaries and fertilized in a lab, with active sperms. Post this the prepared egg, (undeveloped organism) or eggs (incipient organisms), i.e. now fertilized one is moved to a uterus. It takes about three weeks for the completion of one full IVF cycle.

IVF is the best type of reproduction from assisted technology. The technique should be made possible utilizing your eggs and the sperm of your partner. IVF can also include eggs, sperm, or embryos from a known or unknown donor. At times, a gestational bearer — a lady who has an embryo embedded in her uterus — may be utilized.

The chances of a successful and healthy IVF depends on many factors such as age, infertility issues, IVF treatment cost in Delhi or in any other place you’re having the treatment.

IVF is a good fertilization option mostly for the ladies of age or those suffering from infertility issues. It is also helpful for couples with various health issues, for instance, it is a healthy option to become parents if you or your partner has any of the following underlying issues:

1. Damage or breakage of Fallopian tubes: A damaged fallopian tube hampers the egg from being fertilized or prevents an embryo from traveling into the uterus.

2. Disorders of the Ovulation: The number of eggs available for fertilization is reduced to a minimum to lesser if there exists an absence of ovulation.

3. Endometriosis: When the uterine tissues grow outside or implant itself outside of the uterus, then it often affects the function of the fallopian tubes, uterus, and the ovaries.

4. Weak Sperm production or Function: Weak mobility of the sperm, poor concentration of the sperm, the flaw in the size and shape of the sperm, makes it almost impossible for the sperm to fertilize eggs efficiently.

5.Uterine Fibroids: Benign tumors underlying the walls of the uterus, particularly of women in their 30s and 40s, are known as uterine fibroids. They prove to be a huge hindrance in normal pregnancy and with healthy implantation of the fertilized eggs.

6.Past removal or sterilization of the tubes: If you are female who has undergone surgical removal or sterilization of the fallopian tubes due to any reason, and you wish to conceive now, then IVF is the best possible way to experience motherhood.

7.Genetic Disorder: With our impaired lifestyle of today’s era, it is almost inevitable to dodge a disorder that is genetic and if you or your partner has some of these genetic problems that might be passed on to the future generation, IVF is a healthy solution. In this process, only the embryos, free from identified problems, after a thorough screening procedure during fertilization, are transferred to the uterus.

Along with these, there are many other issues and health problems that can prove to be a reason behind failed pregnancies and should be carefully dealt with, even if you are opting for an IVF treatment. Always do thorough research of the top IVF centre in Delhi or other places you are residing in, and the best IVF doctor in Delhi or any other place before going for the treatment.
